Our Mission Makes Us the Best at Preventive Care

At JenteelNature Health, we provide you with holistic, reproductive and preventive health care.

Although we treat the whole family, our focus is on women's health - pre and post menopausal and pediatrics. We believe in providing comprehensive care for all those who identify as women. We provide a safe space and an attentive ear to your women's health concerns.

Since we opened our doors to our very first patients, our mission has been to provide quality care in a safe environment —earning us the reputation as some of the best doctors in preventive medicine in Connecticut.

During the 2020 pandemic, we pivoted to provide our services virtually to reach more of our patients.  Since implementing this change, we quickly expanded our reach nationally and internationally, providing the most experienced and dedicated healthcare. We continue to provide our services virtually.

Our Ethos Makes Us Stand Out Above the Rest

At JenteelNature Health, our treatment philosophy is steeped in the principles of naturopathic medicine. We focus on prevention, prioritizing natural treatment protocols over pharmaceutical drugs when possible.

We take our role of doctor as teacher and first do no harm very seriously. We identify and treat the root cause of disease instead of just treating your symptoms. We help you remove the obstacles to inherent healing and recovery. In this way, we treat your whole being (body, mind spirit).

Our licensed Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) are trained as primary care physicians (PCPs) in accredited 4-year medical schools and are taught the basic sciences, clinical sciences, pharmacology, etc. Natural treatments are also incorporated into the curriculum: botanical medicine, Chinese medicine / acupuncture, hydrotherapy, homeopathy and physical medicine.  Finally, NDs also learn clinical nutrition, IV therapy, minor surgery and mind body medicine. We think you will agree that seeing an ND allows you to experience the best of both worlds!

Our Specialties

Women's Health

Naturopathic physicians are experts in the natural treatment of many common medical conditions.  Whether you have just entered womanhood or menopause, we provide options to make these transitions easier.  Have you just gotten off of birth control and don't quite feel like yourself?  Heavy periods? Mood swings?

Hormone balancing is our thing! Common conditions treated include PMS/PMDD, PCOS, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis and fibroids. We also help you manage through menopausal symptoms and post menopausal concerns like maintaining bone density and libido.

Doctor's Appointment

Digestive Health

Our doctors are experts at treating long standing digestive concerns.  We can provide nutrition-based gastroenterology and assisted treatment protocols for conditions including SIBO, IBS, IBD: Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn's and Celiac Disease. Conditions such as intolerances/sensitivities can wreak havoc on the body, lead to nutritional deficiencies and even manifest into skin disorders.

We conduct functional and diagnostic lab testing and will also review lab work previously completed. At the end of the process, you will receive a complete workup and a treatment plan to address long standing concerns.

Clinical Nutrition

Nutrition is the foundation of naturopathic medicine.  Naturopathic physicians are the only primary care trained physicians that have extensive training in clinical nutrition throughout their four years of medical school. This makes them highly qualified to counsel their patients in dietary counseling and lifestyle modification.

Nutritional status has many ramifications on our gastrointestinal health. Using a team based approach, our accredited health coach can create a simple nutrition protocol for you to follow to achieve optimal health.  We offer coaching packages to improve your results and consistency.

Functional medicine is an in depth process that delves into amino acid, organic acid, neurotransmitter, nutritional testing or gastrointestinal concerns to determine if you require additional nutritional support to better balance your body functions

Naturopathic Pediatrics

Do you want evidence-based guidance on breastfeeding or working through teething concerns?  What should your toddler be eating? Or help navigating the "terrible twos"?  We use clinical nutrition, nutritional supplements and homeopathy to get you and your little one on the right track.  We can help you whether you are a first time mom or veteran.  Specialty areas include prenatal and postnatal support, allergies, digestive conditions and ADD/ADHD.

Fertility Counseling

We serve as the "middle women" between your gynecologist and reproductive endocrinologist, seamlessly helping you navigate the confusing landscape of ART (Assisted Reproductive Technologies).  If you are going through IVF or IUI, we fill in the nutrition and lifestyle modification gaps to improve the success rate of your procedure.  Our fertility programs incorporate nutrition, supplementation for reproductive optimization (oocyte quality), mind body counseling and mindfulness practices.
